Myntra’s Designer community is over 3500 designers strong and is one of the foundations on which the Myntra Design library is built. With a view to formally organizing, leveraging and communicating with this community, Myntra has started a newsletter for this community titled “Designers’ Newsletter”. The first edition of this newsletter was sent out to the Myntra Designer community this month - May 09 - and the initial response to the newsletter has been very positive. 

The Designers’ Newsletter has a ringside view of all the events, activities, contests and promotions being run for the Myntra Designer Community. The first edition of the Designers’ Newsletter announces the ‘Cricket Chromosomes Design Contest’ which invites all the designers to submit their design entries depicting their interpretation of Cricket. The Designers’ Newsletter also has a section showcasing the bestselling designs of the previous month - April 09 - on Myntra.com . A feature on the most active designers for the previous month is also available in the Newsletter. The Newsletter also has useful resources for designers which can enable them to sharpen their design skills. The May 09 Newsletter talks about fonts and their criticality to any design. Links to a few websites from where free fonts can be downloaded and used are also provided. The Newsletter signs off with the ‘Upcoming Events’ for which designers can start creating and submitting designs on Myntra.com

Please put your hands together for a huge round of applause for all the designers who have done a great job and made our ‘Romeo-Juliet’ Design contest a huge success with close to 2500 entries!!!! The results are out and can be viewed here. We would like to congratulate not just the winners but all the participants for the amazing creations!!

Thank you people for giving us a tough time in judging and selecting the most deserving entries. Most of the designs were creative and absolutely splendid. The entries ranged from being romantic, mushy, cheesy, to naughty, humorous, and cool ones. While some got romantic with red hearts and cupids, there were also a few who proclaimed that being single is the coolest!!

All in the entire contest can be termed a huge success and all the credit goes to the wonderful designers.
